OK i have a 98 prelude and its a automatic shift(you can shift or keep it in auto). OK so when im shifting it will only go to third gear and thats it.......but i have no problem when its in auto.........what do i need to fix it, and is it an easy fix?

check your tiptronic control unit or solenoid

 

I agree bro, sometimes solenoid does that problem.

Those transmissions had a problem from day one that's why the five speed is so popular. The solenoid is probably going to be the best bet
