Alvin: Have you tried looking at craigslist.com, Tow yard auto auctions ( you can call the big tow yards and ask if they have an auction day and if any hatchbacks and what year. Palmdale and Lancaster has auctions at Clark and Howards, 6th Ave tow, Lancaster auctions, LA county has auctions also ( Sundays ) San Berdadino has several auctions. Some are 100 cars + Need to know what year you want and how much you want to spend.
