Default Mystery part

I've had my new '20 Ridgeline for only a month. When I picked it up this part was in the glove box. The dealer said he had no idea what it is for, and he even checked with their parts guys and they too came up empty. The lock is operated by my fob key, so it is unique to my particular vehicle. The part number on the back side is limited...only says "T6Z". Any ideas what this is for?

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't see how it would fit on the tailgate.

My first thought is that it's a cover for the 2" receiver/tow hitch because it's about the same size...but it doesn't fit that either. There's no gasket on this so I think it might fit somewhere in the interior but I don't see where it goes..

I welcome all guesses and answers!

Dave

info, the clip on the back appears to be the same type used for the window, door handle on older vehicles.

So I decided to contact a Honda directly and found myself in an online chat with a 'tech' person. I told them the selling dealer parts guy had no idea what this is for. Their reply, "Try another Honda dealer."

Really Honda?? What makes you think the next Honda dealer parts guy will have any better info than the current one?

Awesome! You're right...I found the pull wire (didn't know what that was either!) and the cover fit fine. Thanks for your help!

Go Navy!
