2018 Accord Stereo Upgrade
I have a 2018 Accord Touring with the premium stereo. I’m looking to improve on the factory system that is totally lacking. I can go 1 of 4 ways:
1) change the front speakers using the factory amp and add a powered sub 2) add a 5 channel amp, keep the existing speakers and add a passive 10” sub 3) add a 5 channel amp with DSP, keep factory speakers and add a passive sub or 4) add a 5 channel amp, replace front speakers and add the passive sub. Any opinions on best bang for the buck? I’m trying to stay under $1,500.
Thanks.

The problem lies in the head unit, I suppose that You have been exposed to the crummy assed sound in Your 2018 CRV, same sound in my 2020 CRV. From the research that I have done, there is a crummy scratchy overtone in the mid and treble area, Speaker replacement will not remedy this, nor adding an amp The **** is coming from the POS head rated at 330 watts. I have contacted Honda and they will state that nothing is wrong, The ear is never wrong, if You would amplify the **** that comes from the head unit, it would be louder, but still sound like ****. CAVEAT EMPTOR.
