larger wheels on a 2000 Accord

Anyone upgrade to larger rims/tires on a 2000 Accord,I want to go larger on the wheels, what is a safe amount to increase by?

i wouldn't go past 17s not because of safty issues but because of ride comfort it also throws off your speedometer and other things.
