hello, i have a 2005 odyssey touring with the pax tires. does any one know if i could put regular tires on thoes rims??? if not i need a set of wheels and tires, factory honda odyssey wheels any one have a set let me know please.

 

After the phone call with PAX tire guy a customer comes in and asks if we could rotate the tires that he bought with us for his truck (which is complimentary when ya buy a set of tires with us). Now we are currently short handed on technicians and while the 4 guys I had working at that time in the shop are great guys, work hard and fast. They can't keep up with the work load from the amount of people and customers who walk in at a single time needing service. So I let the customer know that while yes I could do the tire rotation for him today it would take a few hours and would be done by the time we closed.

What is Pax tires?

 

according to wiki pedia it is tire that can run flat up to 100 miles. a tire in a tire and it uses special rims.

 

Much like the run flats on the vette. Also called EMT Extended mile tires.very expensive to replace.

 

Let me introduce you gents to the Michelin PAX tire system.

Michelin partnered with a few companies to produce a run-flat tire system. Honda was one of the few companies to buy in. Run-flats sound like a good idea, unfortunately this system was not well-thought-out, and the logistical train to support it in the real world does not exist.
