The engine light in my CRV has come on (the one shaped like an engine, not the "service soon" light) - I know there's a code I can punch in on the radio to get it to tell me what's wrong, a code I can look up to find out what to check, but I don't remember how to do it. Can someone tell me how to "ask" my car what it needs?

*Yes, I know I can take it to AutoZone or somewhere and have them check...but I'd like to know how to do it myself, as well.
