Just want to share. I did not have heat for a while, thought it was the thermostat. Replaced it, problem not solved. Found the culprit today looking for a vacumm line for vacuum test. I noticed a wrapped end wire hanging. I looked closely and saw that the sheetmetal clamp holding the cable sheath was broken - rusted.
