Default 2000 cr-v with eratic miss at idle

This is my second CR-V and is new to me.
I have a check engine light with a miss on all 4 cylinders.
The light came on after driving the new to me CR-V for 2 days.
I have adjusted the valves. no effect.
compression is good on equal on all cylinders.
Checked the wires and all resistance was within spec.
I changed the cap and rotor with no improvement.
I changed the plugs with factory NGKs. The light stayed off for 2 days and is now back on. It did seem to run better with the new plugs but the old ones where almost new.
Could this be a coil?
Don't know what to check next.
Sorry for the long post.

Joe.

I have not checked the codes after the light came back on.
My new coil has not arrived yet. As soon as I get it changed I will clear the codes and see what happens.

Default CR-V ignition miss at low R.P.M

Cutlass, I have a 2000 CR-V that has developed the same problem. Runs great from 2000 R.P.M. down to 1500 R.P.M..As engine warms up and R.P.M. drops below 1500, engine starts to miss and gets worse as R.P.M. decreases. Checked timing belt and timing was perfect. At idle, engine will miss and sputter and sometimes quit. OBD scan shows multiple misfires. Like you, I'm wondering where to go next. Hopefully Forum members can help us both.

I too have the same problem. Came back from a 100 mile trip and dropped RPMs once I was off highway and driving 45 mph . Stopped at store before going home and had a hell of a time getting it restarted and backfired 2 times before I got it started for the 3/4 mile home. It stopped 5-6 times and put it in neutral coasting till I got it restarted. Once home backed in . Would not start again afterwords. Had it towed to my mechanic. He has been the whole family mech. For years and is defentally the most honest. His dad owned the shop n retired then Kieth became the owner. He also races ( dragstrip) and knows old school and has modern diagnostic equipment. He has had it at the shop a week now and none of them Can figure it out. He did the Timming belt / full tune-up 20,000 miles ago and ran like great untill this trip.
