Default 2003 CR-V car won’t start after it sits hot

My niece lives in Florida and it’s always hot. I’ll drive her car for an hour or more with AC on, no problems. Turn it off for 10-15 min and it won’t start. All the dash lights go on, it cranks, just won’t actually start. Wait a non consistent amount of time (between 2-20 min) and it will start. About 3 weeks ago the Power Train light went on and these symptoms started happening. A mechanic said it was the Engine Cooling Fan Assembly so he changed that. It didn’t happen for a few weeks. Now it’s happening again! Any ideas?

I had this happen years ago and it turned out to be the electric fuel pump vaper locked due to heat but that was a fuel pump that was not mounted in the fuel tank.

Need to do some basic testing. Fuel pressure when won't start. Will it hit with ether?
