i have read several posts of the above mostly from cold states. only things i could suggest is to install a higher temp thermostate, some type of blanket in front of the grill similar to ones used on the tractor trailers, a mild screen to cut out too much cold air going thru the radiator. mush be careful what is used due to if in a long idle, engine can overheat. also the 1.5 turbo's have fuel entering into the oil system when very cold.
