2018 CR-V Battery Dying?
First time post and we have a problem. My son's 2018 CR-V has developed a dead battery syndrome. Started with every week or two and now has progressed to every day. Battery is dead in the morning. Hook up a jump box and it starts right up. Took i tto the dealer today and they said they chaecked out the battery, alternator and starter and all is fine. They are claiming that the three USB charging cords my son has in the car are causing a "parasetic loss". Of course, tese are plugged into outlets that are only on when the ignition is on. All of my electronic background tells me tat a USB power cord that is NOT turned on and is NOT hooked up to anything is incapable of draining electricity from the battery. So my question is, am I nuts or should I just find another dealer?

welcome to the forum. ( next time you take your car in for battery check, take out all electronic add on's) honda batteries warranty is normally 3 yrs 36k miles. if you have a weak battery, the usb charge unit may, may drain your battery. if you have a strong battery, the usb unit can be left in 80 hrs before draining battery. take yoiur car to an auto zone after and have them do a load test.

Thanks, I told him earlier to stop at AutoZome to have the battery tested. The USB Cables are plugged into factory outlets in the car, not a plug in thing in a cigarette lighter. Besides, they are not activated when the engine is turned off. We'll see.
