Default 2018 front license plate

Help... Just moved to a state with a front plate requirement.

Seems like you must drill holes in the bumper to mount the standard plate frame.

I don't want to drill holes into the bumper.

Are there any alternative plate holders?

Check with a dealer in your area to see how they mount them. Could be there is a special bracket for your car.

Seriously. There are Velcro strips with adhesive on the back. Why wouldn't this work? Just make sure all surfaces are clean (wipe with rubbing alcohol, first).

So, as you can see there are alternatives for many cars as ways to mount plates without drilling.
I understand the CRV is a basic non sporty vehicle but I'm surprised that aftermarket options aren't out there.

The sportier Honda models have alternatives.

They are not attractive and mess up the aesthetic but they prevent stupid fines that are just throwing money away if a cop ever wants to bust your *****.

One of them looks like it was mounted on the grill
And the other looks like it was mounted to one side on the bumper
Can't see behind the plates to see mounting bracket

Velcro will not work cause the plate will come off due to air flow pulling at it during highway driving.
If you don't believe then drive at highway speeds and stick you hand out and feel the force.
Summer heat and winter cold. Add some rain and sleet. You have a good combination for the plates to fall off.

NO...the Corvette tow hook is behind the grille...both use the vehicle's tow hook which is not an option for the Honda.
The VW tow hook is where the plate mount is as well.
