So, can you find a tow hook to mount your front plate?
Can you make one?
Can you buy one?

Have you looked at Autoanything.com for a mounting plate or bracket?

I still like the Velcro idea, if you use enough, it shouldn't come off. Wind is going directly at the plate, not coming in from the sides.

But what state do you live in where you have to have a front plate? I'm in CA, where a front plate is required. One of the guys at work put his plate on the dash, where it can be seen from out front of the car. Don't know if this is legal, but maybe check with your state.

But maybe avisitor's Autoanything.com suggestion is best, if not pricey.

From my link:

Ways Drivers Get Around the Front Plate Law

Some drivers attempt to circumvent the plate law by placing their plate in the window or by keeping it somewhere else inside the car, such as in the glove box or on the floor. However, laws tend to state that the plate must be in a fully visible location on the car. Some states have various exceptions in place, such as Washington state, which allows for exceptions in the case of vehicles that do not have front locations specifically built for a front plate. In order to qualify for such an exemption, you have to write the Washington State Patrol and ask for a waiver.

Autoanything has "Nothing" for a CR-V front plate.

Well, you still don't get the idea?
You have to find a way to attach your license plate bracket to the front some how.
Some people use Velcro. Others use zip ties.
Some buy stuff. Others make stuff.
It is up to you to decide where and how you want to attach it in order to comply with the law.

Good luck

OP is the one saying no to everything. Help comes in different forms.
And those suggestions do work ... just not for you .. cuz you don't like it.
So you must find your own way.
