I recently hit a piece of metal on the freeway and it punctured the fuel tank. I've been able to locate a used fuel tank but am having a problem finding the middle floor undercover splash shield at a reasonable price. Is it OK to drive the vehicle without this splash shield?

 

That protects against rocks and stuff. Could bust a brake or fuel line driving on dirt will mess you up,.
