2024 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid Auto Climate Control
My previous car was 2018 Accord Touring Hybrid. Set temp to 70 degrees and if car is hot from the sun or cold from winter the blower fan comes on high speed until set temp is reached. On the 2024 CR-V the blower speed doesn’t go to a high setting automatically and dial back as set temp is approached. What I do is turn fan speed up high manually and as set point approaches I hit the auto button and let the fan go slow blow. Has anyone noticed this undocumented feature?
Trying to discern between humor or lack of knowledge.
That not withstanding, the owners manual does read that settings may not immediately cause the system to engage. It depends on many factors which include, but are not limited to, OAT (adjustable), selected cabin temp, actual cabin temp, drive mode and yes, ICE temp. The latter being the causal factor for ICE start up when heat is selected and the sensor(s) determine that heat cannot be produced.
The auto function on your ‘24 is the same as my ‘22 and it does the same thing yours does. I simply exercise a little patience and it gets me to comfortable without causing BPF (button pushing fool) desires.
It is kind of like coming home to a hot or cold house and cranking the thermostat to 45* to cool or 90* to heat expecting that it will get to the desired 72* faster.
REF: Pg 232
Consider the possibility that you may have a bad or blocked sensor.
YMMV

I got the car 13 Apr 2024 so I really don’t have the high or low water temp, lol, to really see fan speed. Very nice explanation, ICI stands for Internal Combustion Engine? I doubt I have a bad sensor….I only have 700 miles,on the car.
ICI is Integrated Calibration Index when used in a medical reference.
High water temp? That is a whole different issue.

I’m surprised you didn’t say your to smart for me….
but like my previous remarks were I got the car in April and it hasn’t been real hot and it hasn’t been real cold, but I certainly understand the coolant temperature needs to be 100° before heat can be produced to the cabin.
