2024 CRV daytime/nighttime dash brightness
I suddenly lost the daytime vs nighttime dashboard brightness feature. Don't recall doing anything other than turn headlights off and on. I can manually adjust dash brightness, but have lost the auto brightness feature. Did I do something somewhere to cause this? What is the fix? Thanks.

Did you do something to cause this?
Most Likely
Have you tried to turn the trip meter reset/dash light intensity multifunction ****?
If that does not work, try the 600+ page book last seen in the glovebox.
Or you can tell us what model CRV you have and when I’m finished looking for the Loch Ness monster (not joking) I’ll check it out.
UPDATE: Sad to report no nessie.

Turns out there is no auto-dim feature. It was just me believing that a good feature on one car, would be available on all cars. On the steering wheel, scroll through the various tasks, press the scroll wheel to stop on brightness, then dial in the desired light intensity. Public service announcement: don't try to do this while passing through a roundabout at high speeds. Mr. Ducky, sorry to hear of your Nessie search failure. There's always next time.
