The auto dimming feature on my rear view mirror does not cover the entire surface and has about 1/4 inches of undimmed glass all around the perimeter. This can be annoying if you catch a high beam on the edge. We have 4 other cars in the house including 3 Hondas. All have self dimming mirrors, but none have the undimmed perimeter. Is this normal, or a defect? I’ve attached a photo.
A new design for Gen 6. Looks like somebody thought different was better.
Lots of complaints across the forums.
From the cheap seats, I would get some static window tint film and cut to fit the perimeter only. That should eliminate the glare and not damage anything.
