Default 99 burning oil

Hey everyone so im having an issue with my crv. So while the car is running and driving it doesnt really push out any smoke but at a stop light then accelerating it will puff out a blueish tint of exhaust smoke so im wondering if it might be worn valve seals.

Ive been monitoring my oil consumption over the past month and it's not really changed level and if it has it was only slightly noticeable.

When I bought the car i should have inspected it alot close because the previous owner cut the cat and straight piped it as well as snipped off the 02 sensors. So i was also wondering if that could also be a the reason for the smoke as well but other then that the car runs fantastic.

Cat removal can cause many issues so without an exhaust gas analysis, your smoke can be caused by many things. Since you are not noticing abnormal oil consumption it likely does not indicate seal failure worthy of repair.

The fact that you did not mention a CEL indicates that there may have been ECM modifications to go with the exhaust monkey modification. (or the light burned out from being on so long)

Maybe the toxic smoke can kill some mosquitoes along the way.

the cel is on but its code is for both 02 sensors that i know but i guess i was wondering if the straight pipe would be the reason for the smoke or not. I assumed it was maybe valve seals but if not then getting a new exhuast and 02 sensors isn't a big deal.
