I have a 2007 CR-V, multiple misfire. Cat was plugged up, changed that to get acceleration back but still had a misfire with the triangle and VSA lite on. Did a compression test, adjusted valves, new plugs,coils and injectors. A Still multiple misfire. I've been a tech since 1972, but this one had me stumped. Start out side the box. Cleaned all grounds checked all connectors for corrosion. Checked the alternator for voltage spike. BINGO BAD DIODE. Replaced alternator, no codes runs like a new one. Hope this helps

 

AC ripple can cause problems with all the electronics and modules. It's easy to test for. With the diode out it likely had pulsating lights.

 

Didn't have pulsating lights, did have VSA. Not communicating with engine controller
