Hi my mother hit a wall parking her crv at handicapped spot of restaurant. No wall damage but crv hit right corner which set off both air bags. It’s a 2017 crv ex, I wondered why the auto braking didn’t stop car? Thoughts.

 

Probably cause the sensor is not on the corner of the vehicle??

 

welcome to the forum. was there something in front of the crv for the detectors to sense an obstruction to stop the car. like a bumper or vehicle or a wall.
