CRV Oil capacity

Hello,

I am able to drain only about 3.5 quarts from my 2016 CRV. Adding just 3 quarts of oil makes the dip stick read full. Anyone has similar problem ?

I used jack to lift the passenger side of the car after oil stopped dripping from drain plug and couple of oz dripped. It seems to me that oil pan is holding some oil

Thanks

Your CRV contains 4.4 quarts of oil for the 2.4L engine, you will never completely drain the crankcase on any car for example I have an Ford F 350 diesel truck that holds 18 quarts but only takes 13.5 on oil changes. Even when your vehicle is completely level you won't do better than that.

Hello, sdking. What engine do you have?
According to the specs at https://engineswork.com/oil-capacity...-capacity.html your 2016 CR-V might have 4.44 US Quarts or 4.23 US Quarts WITHOUT FILTER!
Probably you (most likely) you didn't drain all the oil.
