Default CVT transmission

Really want to get a new CR-v but the CVT is holding me back. Reason being is I had a new 2013 Accord that was in the shop more than on the road due to the CVT transmission. I went to Drive-Accord forum and a lot of Accord owners were having the same issues as myself. It makes you think about the durability of the CVT seeing Honda brought out the 10spd for the Accord. You would think on a AWD SUV they would have something durable. How long has the CR-V had them? Hoping that Honda goes back to the regular transmission.

My 2015 CRV was fine. I returned it and got a 2018 CRV in Feb. 2018. No problem with the CVT but my oil level is rising and I sometimes smell gasoline when I turn on the heat. From what I read online, I might have an oil dilution problem that is playing other CRVs with the 1.5 turbo engine. I will go to dealer this week.

I too have CRV EXL a 2017 and the CVT has always had a 4 or 5 Seconds lag before it engages first thing in the morning. All times when the CRV has set for 2 to 4 hours the CVT starts immediately. I have noticed that at the morning start the CVT engages when the computer finishes booting!? Has anyone else have this issue?
