Default Engine starts then dies

Hello Everyone,

I would appreciate any help on the below issue.

Yesterday, my wifes 2002 Honda CR-V started perfectly fine. Ran errands and had no issues. That evening when I went to move her car into the garage, the car started and died immediately. So, I tried again, started the car, except I gave the car gas and idle it for about 30 seconds or so. Let go of the gas and it died again. My wife tells me that this has happen in the past before, however, very rarely (Maybe 5 times or so, since she bought the 4 years ago).

The battery is less then a year old and she just recently had the O2 sensors replaced.

Any ideas on what might be the cause of the problem?

Thanks!

welcome to the forum. Possible idle cut off is dirty.

That sure sounds like the IAC is stuck closed. If it doesn't open, you'll have a very, very low idle. Usually it won't idle at all when cold.
