Hello all,

Neither of my fobs (new batteries in both) will remotely open my CR-V's (2021 Hybrid Touring) trunk. The fobs work for everything else, and the button on the trunk hatch works properly. I googled but can't find anything that addresses this specific problem. Has anyone run into this?

 

welcome to the forum. If your car is under factory warranty, take it to Honda to get fixed.

 

Thanks. It is, and I will. There's a mechanical valet switch in some earlier CR-V's that's not there in 2021. I was wondering if I'd inadvertently changed a setting.

 

my 2022 ex-l has the liftgate button on the fob and it works fine. as other's said, i'd take it in if it's not working.

 

It's the fob. My #2 works.

 

ahhhh, gotcha. I posted up a HOWTO on here about making more key fobs on the cheap. I did that and have like 3 extra I believe.

 

Please could you post a URL for that HowTo. I'd love to have it.
