I purchased a new 2019 CRV in April with the heated steering wheel option. At that time I was told there was a part on backorder and the install would happen in a couple weeks. It’s now been four months and I can’t get any useful information from either Honda or the dealer. Does anyone else out there know anything about this backorder? Thanks.

 

welcome to the forum. when you purchased your 2019 cr-v, did you have that written or documented about the heated steering wheel. if it is on the sales slip, or back order form, or some thing written, call the sales department and talk to the sales person, the sales manager, and the service manager every 2-3 days and ask to have the work completed per sales agreement. dealership if not put under pressure will normally put it to the side to do other work that brings in money. your car is a loss to the service dept. they made their money when you purchased the vehicle, so now get on their case to get the job done.

 

Maybe they are postponing the installation due to backlog from the 2019 steering wheel recall.
if its on your sale sheet tell them you’d like a refund or have them toss you another accessory until its ready to go in.
