Hit a bump and now engine problems...
It's a 2000 Honda CR-V manual transmission with 117k on it. But the engine is 2001 and unsure of mileage (unfortunately). Timing belt was done at 97k.
It wasn't a fun bump... I had just gotten the fuel injectors replaced and it was doing great. There was some concrete on the road right after a curve that caught me off guard and sounded expensive, lol. But when I got home, I lifted the hood, and everything looked fine, was running fine, I left it.
Next day, the car couldn't stabilize in idling. It was dropping to almost shutting off and had a whistle, then it would push the RPMs up, try to settle to the point of shuddering, etc.
I'm still new to the world of cars, but have been learning. I had my brother who works a bit on cars come over and we got some good videos to show how it is running.
and
on my YouTube.
As we turned it on and off checking things, it got to the point it could stabilize at the right spot, but if you gave throttle and let off, it would drop too low and then stabilize at 750-800rpm. Also while idling, it felt rough compared to before.
I'm going to check the valves and adjust them (just got the car and was planning on doing that anyway). Thought of a possible vacuum leak. The check engine light just came on, so my brother will bring over a code reader on Thursday, which I'll update on that when I get it.
Any ideas of what I could look into?
