Default Hondas with swing tailgate

Hey there-
was hoping for some help figuring out if there are any similar model tailgate configurations to the 2006 Honda Cr-v where the rear hatch swings out like a door on a hinge rather than lifts up with a hydraulic. So far I've found the previous model years as early as 97 I believe , to have that type of swing (as well as a picnic table. Lol).
any input is greatly appreciated!
. Thanks!☆

Honda did this years 1997 - 2006. After that it was discontinued (same w the picnic table)

First generation CR-V was 1995-2001, second gen is 2002-2006. 2007 and up all utilize the lift gate. I would, actually, prefer a Chevy Blazer conversion--lifting glass and drop-down tailgate.

Default 1st gen tailgate is a little different...

For the 97-01 CR-V, the tailgate is a two piece arrangement. You must open the glass first, and it goes up, like a lift-gate, then the rest of the door open to the right. I think it's really cool because you can just open the glass if you want to put things in pickup style, and when you open the whole back, the door isn't like a huge wall between you and whatever is to the right of the car because it's just the bottom half that sticks out.

The second gen CR-V has a 1-piece door that opens to the right. The glass can be lifted up like the first gen CR-V, but it's still part of the door and swings out with the door. It sounds like that's the one you have experience with.

The Toyota RAV4 has this second gen style of rear door too from 1996-2015, but the RAV4 rear window doesn't open, as far as I know. After that they went with the regular (boring) lift-back style.
