Default ignition key fault

Hi everyone just joined forum, just wondering as anyone had problems with the ignition key, my key gets stuck in the ignition barrel once I've parked the vehicle, its becoming a real nuisance now, on a couple of occasions I have to leave the key in the ignition barrel, any advice would be much appreciated Thanks

Have you tried lubricating the barrel?
Sometimes the barrel gets gunked up.
Some lube might help

Have you tried moving the gear selector thru the gears and back into park?
There is a switch in the gear selector which tells the vehicle if the it is in park.
If the switch is becoming faulty then it could present the same symptoms.

Hi there, I'll try and spray lube , hopefully that will solve the problem, the issue started all at once, not a gradually thing, unfortunately it's a manual and not a automatic, thanks for replying much appreciated 👍

Hope that resolves the issue. If not then may be time to shop for ignition cylinder locks???
Hope for the best and prepare for the worse.
