Default ignition key problem.

I have 95' honda accord no problem to get on starting the engine but as soon as I release my finger onthe ignition key the engine die and restart right away. I can only keep the engine running if I hold the key on start position. I removed all the covers on the ignition looks all the wiring are all intact no loose connections is it possible the thumbler key is bad I am guessing.
Thanks
