Default Question on 2019 CR-V

Wife just got a 2019 CR-V Touring. So far she really likes it.

Have a question:
I came out in the garage where the vehicle was parked.
Could hear something running like an electric motor humming, walking around the garage trying to figure out what is running.
It was coming form under the car, sounded like the fuel pump.
I started the car for a minute, then shut it off, the pump quit running.

So I stopped at the dealer asked them about it.
Was told this is normal, the car runs tests while it is not running.

I never had a car that did that.
Was the dealer being truthful or giving me a line of BS.

Thanks

I know nothing about the 2019 CRV
However, I remember that certain vehicles would have the electric fans still on (even with the engine off) if the engine was still hot
But, they would shut off when the engine cooled enough
Most of the "tests" the vehicle runs should be done while the engine is running or on
A fuel pump test with the engine off doesn't make sense????

If it was the fuel pump then I would suspect a relay being stuck on or wires shorted
My advice is to make a video so you can show the dealer what you mean

Wasn’t the fan, pretty sure it was the fuel pump.
Will try making a video next time it happens.

My 2019 Honda C R-V Touring has never made that sound that I heard .
I bought mine in April 2019 and have 6500km's on it
I find way to many gadgets to fiddle with , but I'm a senior ,so I guess that's normal.
I still have my old 1980 Chev 4x4 pick up I can take I guess.

did a bit of research, it is a small leak test of the fuel tank, after parking the car, the fuel needs to settle, the test will come on.

In taking with other CR-V owners, turns out this is normal.
Car does it all the time.

I thought the dealer was giving me a line of BS I guess not. 😊

Live and learn.
Sometimes the dealer is telling the truth??

EVAP system running a test on your fuel tank for vapor leak, randomly occurs.
