Default Replace 17" Rims w/16" rims

I have snow tires that are on the rims. I had them on my 2004 Intrepid. I just bought my 2008 CRV and would like to use them. The sizes are 225/60/16 snow tires on rims and the ones on my CRV are 235/65/17. Is this possible? I realize it will affect the speedometer a little.

as long as the bolt pattern is the same then you should be fine also if the rim clears your brakes or suspension being a smaller rim it mite interfere with those parts.

Easiest way to find out is mount one.

First and foremost, there's not a great chance that the bolt pattern will match. Secondly, you are downgrading in two out of the three dimensions, so you are going to look like you stole your wheels off a Power Wheels. The correct size ratio to move from a 17" rim to a 16" would be a tire size of 215/70r16. (As a side note, your tire size is most likely 225/65r17, not 235/65/r17.) If your vehicle is AWD, then not only will your spedo be negatively affected by the wrong tires, it'll also screw up your differential and transmission too.
