Running lean causes and MAP/MAF sensor location 2006 CRV SE
This should be a fairly straightforward one.
1. My 06 CRV is running lean and I need causes to look for. 2. I need the location of the MAF or MAP sensor whichever it may have. (Pictures are best as I am mechanically retarded.) Tried Google, it's completely useless. Only shows the wrong year crv, accord and civic. |
All the air the engine takes in goes through the MAF right at the throttle body.
Do you have a scan tool? You can replace a bunch of stuff and find out you have an exhaust leak. |

Do you have a scan tool? You can replace a bunch of stuff and find out you have an exhaust leak. I've addressed every known leak in the exhaust I could find. The only place I haven't been able to check is the front of the manifold pipe. The cat and sensors are new, (the dealership installed those). |
If the rear O2 sensor is in good working order and there are no leaks you have a bad cat. Sorry but you will be wasting your time trying to fix this problem by fixing something else.
If something else needs fixing that is fine but don't expect it to make your cat to work. |
