Unhappy Rust around windshield - 2003 CRV

Just noticed today a significant area of rust/corrosion right above the drivers side on the windshield. What is weird is that this must have cropped up quickly because the car is driven every day of the week! 2003 CRV (purchased new in 2003), 110,000 miles. Live in Chicago. Car is parked indoors but driven every weekday to work and parked outdoors. The windshield was replaced in 2005 by Safelite. I called Safelite today and they are going to look at the damage to see if it could be caused by a bad install, but it is strange to have started 8 years after the replacement. While on the phone with Safelite, the agent asked me if the car has a sunroof (yes), and said that there are some hoses in the sunroof that have to be drained every so often or they will backup and leak. Never heard of this before. Should the car be rusting already, or is this likely to be caused by a bad windshield install? Thanks.

Welcome in,my guess is the sunroof,it's rusting from the inside,If it were rusting from the outside it would be visible at the begining.
