I had an oil change done and now the srs light is showing on the dash. what could be the cause of this? any help is greatly appreciated.

 

my srs light went on on my fit, it was a sensor up front that was defective. It could be a number of items causing it to go on. The dealer took about 15 min to find it. Due to being an 07 model, there was no cost to me.

 

well it's an 03 or 04 model, i can't remember at the moment but i don't think it's covered under warranty. if the sensor is defective would it be covered under the lifetime warranty since it has to do with restraints?

 

it may be possible.

 

call the dealer or the seller of the contract, and ask them if the srs is covered under the warranty. Some do cover, some just cover the drive line.
