Default CRV maintenance

Hi,
I had my 2007 CRVs oil changed at Honda Carland service center. not so great for a 1st timer customer as they charged me for the service where it should have been free since its the first 5K miles. then they put a sticker in my windshield saying its next due is "blank date/mileage". huh? what that does mean? what is due and when its due? i have to guess... anyway, i hope you can help me have a list of what could be the next maintenance due i need to prepare to. or what is the recommended next maintenance on my CRV. i don't want to wait for something to break before i act on it. when are my tires due to rotate or change? i weekly inspect the fluids though. hope you have some list to watch out.
thanks.

Aloha sirjune: welcome to the forum, hope we may be able to assist you, and enjoy your stay. Oil change on your cr-v is done on the percent you drive your car, if you press the trip monitor, you should have a a trip, b trip, and oil percent. starting with 100 and drops down to - percent if you pass a certain milage. I do beleive the newer hondas all have this. Check with your owners manual. The dealer should have given you the first change free but all dealers are not the same. If you drive in heavy traffic daily, 3-5k miles is a good time to change. I do a lot of freeway, so i take it in when I get to about 30-20% or 5-7k miles. If you can get a hold of a helms, chilton, or factory service manual, the book will give you a lot of info to how to maintain your car.

Default RE: CRV maintenance

Hi All,

I have 2.5 years of CRV ownership and this explains why I have just received from a Honda dealer an interim 6,000 service notification with a discount charge total of £49.99 using Mobile 1 oil.

I have a 2005 55 plate diesel CRV and was never told it needed a 6,000 miles first service even when I said I would be averaging 12,000 per year. I was told the first oil change would be 12,000 and I paid £200.

I have only had two oil changes every 12,000 in my case explains why the engine is quite noisy.

I am also told the noise from the engine as I press on the clutch peddle is normal crank thrust play, not something I wanted to hear having rebuilt a few engine I always shim the crank with thrust washer to avoid this noise from happening.
