Default Tire Pressure Monitor

I have a 2009 CRV- Last winter my Tire Presure monitor light came on- I took it to the Dealer- They increased the tire pressure to 35 PSI- No more TPM lights- They told me it was cold weather activated-
Is this a normal thing- 35 PSI seems a little high for those little tires-

As far as i know it is normal as it get colder outside the air gets thinner so increasing the tire pressure is a common thing to have to do during the winter.
