Default Tree Limb Fell on CR-V Roof

A number of years ago a tree limb fell on the edge of my Honda's roof, right above the right rear door. The door and window work great and there are no leaks but I want to hammer the dent out so that I can replace roof parts that came off. I would prefer to work from the inside out but have no idea if I can. Has anyone had the liner off? Is there access to that edge above the right rear door where I can hammer out dents on the roof?

Right rear door on 2005 Honda CR-V.

You are better off letting it alone. Unless you plan to have that done right it will never look better than it does right now. The roof rail has a steep curved edge that was indented. You can't just knock it out. You would need a 5 pound sledge and pipe to get it to move and the results will be ugly.

If you have the time and proper tools then go for it. Oh, skill level is important too.
