Default What upgrades have you done to your cr-v? results?

Hi there, I am a new owner of a 2016 cr-v
I owned an accord over a decade ago with the same 2.4 v-tec. loved that car and enjoyed the "pep" it had.

I just saw an ad on this site for K&N air filters. I have always heard good things about them. does anyone here use them? any feedback? changes in mpg?

any other engine or other upgrades?

(updated)
my upgrades so far: tint, trailer hitch to pull my catamaran and weathertech floor mats and cargo mat from
would be interested in getting more speakers for better fidelity (I have the lx that only has 4, not the 6 that come with other models)

Just installed a K&N permanent air filter before taking a trip from Michigan to North Carolina and back. I noted an average increase of 2 MPG according to the on-board display. Another post in the Tech section seems to indicate that the oiled-media filters of this type may prove to be problematic to sensors over the long-term, though...

Welcome in,I have one of the Un-oiled filters on my 2000 accord, the oiled filters are a head ache to clean .i have not noticed a mileage increase but when you floor it the growl in cool. I have a cold air intake on my Corvette and the difference in notable, both with power and mileage.

Well, I'm a user and believer in this filter...bought the cleaning kit, but haven't needed to use it yet. Still seeing 2 MPG increase and more peppy in passing on the freeway. Here is the K&N propaganda on the CRV https://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?id=4388

K&N makes good stuff. They use high quality materials in all their filters.
Ive used them for years.. both the Dry and the oiled type. Theyre all good. just different purposes.

I have also added a few "travel required" items to mine (tinted windows, trailer hitch, and XM radio). Other than the air filter and above, she's stock.

Reviving this old thread, I upgraded the halogen headlight bulbs on my recently purchased EX-L to LED and they look stunning, very bright and white, and match the existing fog lights well, much better match than with the halogen bulbs. A worthwhile upgrade that was inexpensive and easy to perform, just by changing the headlight bulbs to modern LED aftermarket replacement bulbs.
