I am thinking of buying a 1982 cb750f for a project. The question I have is since the bike has been outside for 1 1/2 years will the cylinder walls be rusted?

welcome to the forum, yes there is a 90% chance of rust on the walls unless it was pickled with wd-40 or some type of rust preventative. or run everyother week. If you are doing a project, it might be good to do the cylinders and rings, this way you have a 0 miles engine.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. My reason for taking on this one was because it had only 12500 miles and is complete, however sitting outside is worse than high milage. I was hoping not to have to do any major motor work. Guess I will keep looking for the right project.
