Default Honda CM 125T 1979 12V conversion?

I want to convert this '79 125 twin to 12V. It has 6V now and it's a daily rider so some reliabity is something expected.
The time itself has eaten up the lion part of these bike and very few bikes has survived to this date.

But this is a tech nightmare as it's so old. Therefore are all hints, tricks and how to do welcome.
and which bikes/engines can donor fitting parts to this conversion?
And which parts from later CM/CB 12V models are interchangeable with this older 4 speed engine?

This bike is modified visually so a 12V conversion is not the end of the world.
