Default 07 fit update

Just an update on the 07 base fit. 15 mos of ownership, and 51k miles, it is still getting 38-41 mph on the interstate going the speed limit 60/70 and coasting in neutral down hills less than 4 miles. No problems but there are loose noises, wires dangling sound in the dash area of the air-vents. the glove box rattles, and the drivers side door once in a while rattles like a loose metal rod. The 138 ( bloody alley ) and the 15 does have some rough roads. in the city I have milage down to 29 mpg stop and go, a/c , radio on and heavy gas pedal. Still a fun car to drive.

Default RE: 07 fit update

welcome to the forum, I will be taking my fit in for a 45k/60k service, I noticed now that the wire tapping sound is anytime, not only when it was cold ( as before ) so I will take a ride with the service tech early in the morning and see if we can make it rattle.
If you are out of warranty ( I have a 100k ) might get yourself a service manual for your car to take the dash apart. I will ask the service tech how to take it apart when I go down. I usually hang around the shop a bit to watch.
It may be a few more weeks before I take the Fit in for the overdue service.
