Should I purchase a 2004 Civic LX 247K for $3800? He was asking $5000 before I asked a few questions. I am torn because the owner has had the car since new, with all maintenance records. I'm hesitant because it's almost to the end of it's life cycle. I need help on this one please.....

 

the engine itself will go for twice that many miles and even more if maintained properly. the transmission on the other hand if automatic can be a toss up some only lasted 60,000 others still going past 200,000 miles. have it looked at by a mechanic make sure it drives straight and shifts smooth. alot of other small things like bushings and suspension components mite need replacement also the timing belt,water pump every 100,000 miles.
