Hi! I'm really new here, & I'm really glad to fiind a user forum for Honda owners! Off the bat I'll say I'm not currently a Honda owner, but I am interested in buying a Civic. However my wife, who would be the predominate driver, is only 4'10", 110lbs. I understand Civics now have multi-stage airbags with seat sensors to identify weight & seat position, but does anyone know when they became standard? I've called Honda here in Canada (both dealers & the company) but no one seems to know much (the dealers were really useless). Anyone know? Thanks!

 

welcome to the forum. I viewed the 08 civic, they have a multi-stage, airbags, the only seat sensor shows for the passanger over 60 lbs, the air bag will activate. Nothing on the drivers seat sensor as to weight. My mom is the same height and weight as your wife and the front seat can be adjusted for seeing over the steering wheel. She currently drives a civic lx. For more info, you can go to the Honda sight and they have a lot of info on their civics.
