Question 08 Civic AC Vents Closing Up?

2008 Honda Civic (high end trim line -- leather nav etc.). When I turn on the AC it blows cold and is fine, however there's this kind of clicking sound in the blower motor and I don't think it ever blows out as hard as it should (Max AC blows the same as regular AC). Also, after driving 30 minutes or so it's like something inside the dash closes up the vents. Motor still running at the same speed and I can feel cold air if I put my hand up to a vent, but there's no air being blown out.

I figure I need a new blower motor but is this vent thing another issue or would the blower motor problem also cause that?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

welcome to the forum. check the termister it may be damaged. it is in line in the duct near the fan. 2 screws holding it in place. looks like a spring with green stuff on it.

Thanks for your reply. I'll check on it but I'm not familiar with this device. Is this under the dash somewhere I guess?

under the dash, remove the fan to get access in the duct. you can see the 2 screws looking up. if you have the civic service manual, it may show you the exact location.
