1990 Accord EX passenger side brake issue
I am new to this forum and I have searched through to see if anyone else posted this problem and didn't see anything so I am sorry if this is a repeat question. My girlfriend told me the other day that her brake lamp light came on so I took a look and the passenger side brake light and center brake light is out. The driver side brake light and the tail lights are still working though. Now I have been doing some research to find out what could cause this and so far I have seen a few things mentioned about a right brake light failure sensor but outside of forums I can't find it mentioned anywhere. Has anyone had this problem before? The trunk has moisture in it but it seems strange that only the passenger and center brake light went out. Any help would be appreciated.

I havent had the chance to check for power yet this weekend i finally have a couple days off and plan to look then. I figured they did because its a dual filament bulb and the filament for the tail lights still work. I replaced the bulbs and still no brake lights.

I finally found the passenger brake light failure sensor. After cleaning the connectors and the sensor itself I plugged it back in the car and now all the brake lights work except for the one not on the trunk but on the car body. It looks like the wires to that socket rubbed together and melted through the plastic of the wires. It also looks like inside the socket melted part of the bulb and made a mess. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace that socket?

Just wonder about my ABS light. I have a 2005 Honda Accord and sometimes the light on my dashboard is on, sometimes isnt. Anyway I found this new site on the internet and joined myself. Its seems like a great site for managing my Honda upgrades. I found some useful information and thought that you guys can use it as well.

The only thing is you have to join their forum. Nothing that competes with this, it basically deals with shop management stuff. Pretty good!
