Default 1992 Accord Fuel Pump

Is there any way to check that we are getting power to fuel pump without having to drop the tank? Replaced main relay last week, will not start unless we spray starting fluid in intake, have checked fuses. Was told it might be fuel pump but would like to check without dropping tank. Also changed fuel filter under hood.

I believe the one way for you to check is to drop the tank.

Otherwise, its really hard for you to diagnose if its the fuel pump.

But in this case since you have changed the lines, and you have changed the filter.

Chance are its the pump

I suggest this website to help you better figure out if you can do it yourself

http://hondapartsnow.com

If anything you can always buy it yourself and take it to your local mechanics to get it installed.

It would save lots of money.

I like the website above, they have great prices, service and features that allow you to save your vehicles so next time you go to their site your car is already there all you do is choose the part

i believe I checked my fuel pump for power by taking the covers out fwd of the trunk back of the back seats (90 accord) I did this 5 yrs ago, so not positive. take a look and try it before you drop your tank. Also when you first turn your key on, if someone listens to the fuel tank with the fuel cap open, you can hear if your fuel pump turns on.
