It grinds when I shift into 2nd. Do you think this is something I can fix or should I swap out the tranny. all stock motor and tranny

 

when was the last time you changed your trans fluid with Honda fluid?

 

I just bought the car not sure that is something I can try. Thank you. Some guy off C/L said it needs a new tranny but I dont think it does.

 

I replaced the clutch and pressure plate and put honda MTF it runs 90% better but still grinds into 2nd at high RPMs. I think rebuilding the tranny will do it...Thanks

 

the grinding issue usually has to do with the syncros in the trans but ive never heard of 2nd gear its usually the 3rd gear grind but most honda trans start having that problem around 170 to 200000 milesthe best option is a rebuild
