Default 2000 crv road noise

Hi friends first post here and needed some opinions and suggestions. I have a 2000 crv and love it. It is well taken care and has only about 90,000 miles. We've decided to keep it as our family car so long trips. Ive noticed though on intestates and highways when i get up to speed (70-80mph) the road noise is pretty bad. My family doesn't really mind but i was hoping to do somethings to reduce the road noise. A friend suggested low road noise tires. I wanted to throw it out and see what you guys think. Thanks

welcome to the forum. Yes tires help. you can also spray noise dampener spray on your wheel well and under carraige to help dampen the road noise. It comes in an aerosol can and sprays black and bumpy. also add noise abosorbant material anywhere there is only metal or space between the interior and frame.

you can use jute material in the cabin to absorb sound you can find it at home depot in the carpet section in rolls its what they use under floor carpets. your vehicle should already have a very thin layer of jute under the floor liner.

I had a lot of road noise in my C-5 corvette ,when I put new tires on it 50% of the noise went away, so tires do help!as well as undercoating in wheel wells as stated above.

He was asking for our opinions ,road noise does often come from worn tires, how many miles on them.
