2000 Honda Accord V6 Coupe Check Engine Light
Have a 2000 Honda Accord V6 coupe with 160K. Got an check engine light and threw code: P0401 EGR insufficient flow.
Going to get the EGR kit with sleeve and new EGR valve. Clean out the throttle body and change throttle body gasket.
Since I'm going to take so much stuff apart, wanted to see what else I should do at the same time.
Got the timing belt replace at 100K, but was thinking I should do it now again. So replace timing belt and drive belt. Going to replace the spark plugs as well. Should I replace the ignition coils? The coils are original factory with 160K on them.
Thinking of replace the water pump, thermostat, and coolant. Water pump is original factory so now has 160K miles on it. Still has original radiator....should I change it now?
And lastly change out the Front and Transmission Side engine mounts. Side mount by power steering pump was changed out 2 years ago. Been feeling the vibrations on the steering wheel now.
Biggest question, what else should I change out or replace? Will probably keep this car for another 5 years to reach 200+K miles. Hope the transmission lasts as it's been shifting rougher now.
Thanks.
